Tilt Position Assist
The truck will also be equipped with a feature called Tilt
Position Assist which allows an operator to return the
forks to a level position after tilting either down or back.
After initial calibration, this feature is used by pressing
and holding the switch on the left hand side of the multi-
task handle and then pressing and holding either TDS
or TBS (it doesn't matter which). The truck's control
system will tilt the mast and automatically stop when
fork position reaches the calibrated level position.
Sideshift - Left Circuit
In addition to Hoist and Tilt, it can be equipped with
optional or accessory hydraulic functions. SVA1A/
SVA1B is the solenoid valve that will direct oil flow to
the Third hydraulic function (first accessory). SVA1A/
SVA1B can be either a low flow or high flow valve.
On trucks equipped with an accessory attachment
such as Sideshift, rolling the multi-task handle thumb
ball to the operator's left will change the voltage across
POT 3. This action creates a Sideshift left command
input to the truck's electronic control system.
Refer to Figure 15983. When SS left is selected SVA1B
will energize and shift fully. SPA will ramp open and the
pump motor speed will ramp up in proportion to the
voltage change across POT 3. Supply oil after SPA will
flow through SVA1B, out port A1B and into the right
side of the double acting sideshift cylinder, forcing the
carriage to move to the left.
Oil in the left hand side of the SS cylinder will be
pushed out of the cylinder, into Port A1A of the main
manifold, through SVA1B, and out Port T to the reser-
voir.
When the SS left command is removed, (POT 3 in neu-
tral position) SPA and the pump motor are ramped
closed/off and SVA1B is de-energized.
