Follow procedure for event code 736.
Event Code 739
Tilt Position Sensor (RPS2) Outside Calibrated
Range.
ACCESS 7 has detected the RPS2 sensor to be out of
range from the calibrated values.
Note: A 739 event code will be logged when calibrating
tilt (RPS2) if HGTS1 is open (mast up).
Step 1: Use Analyzer mode A2.4.8.1 and A2.4.8.2 in
display to verify input during tilt operation.
• If: Value is not between 0.5 and 4.5 Vdc or incon-
sistent with commands.
– Then proceed to Step 2.
• If: Value is within range.
– Then replace ACCESS 7.
Step 2: Verify mechanical operation of RPS2, including
set screw is tight on shaft.
• If: Mechanical issue.
– Then repair and recalibrate RPS2.
• If: Correct.
– Then recalibrate RPS2. If issue remains then
proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Check power supply voltage to RPS2 between
CA421-1 (+) and CA421-3 (-). Should be approxi-
mately 5 Vdc.
• If: Correct.
– Then proceed to Step 4.
• If: Incorrect.
– Proceed to Step 5.
Step 4: Check RPS2 input wiring to ACCESS 7,
CA232-1 to RPS2 CA421-2 for continuity.
• If: No continuity.
– Then repair wiring.
• If: Wiring has continuity.
– Then replace RPS2.
Step 5: Check voltage at CA232-4 (+) and CA232-12
(-). Should be approximately 5 Vdc.
• If: Correct.
– Then a wiring problem exists between
ACCESS 7 and RPS2. Repair as necessary.
• If: Incorrect.
– Then replace ACCESS 7.
