ACCESS 2 Logic Issue.
An under voltage or over voltage condition has oc-
curred in ACCESS 2.
Step 1: Check for shorted or loose power connections
at battery and ACCESS 2. An issue in the BNEG circuit
is more likely to cause this code then +BV. Repair/re-
place as necessary.
Step 2: Check for battery volts between +BV and
BNEG power connections at ACCESS 2.
If: Battery volts correct.
Then perform C3.4 battery adjust calibration.
If: Less than battery volts.
Then proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Verify that pump contactor is closed.
Note: DMS1, 2, or 3 must be closed (floorboard must
be depressed).
If: Pump contactor closed.
Then check FU2 pump fuse and pump contac-
tor tip condition. Repair/replace as necessary.
If: Pump contactor open.
Then proceed to Step 4.
Step 4: Verify proper voltage at contactor coil. Pump
contactor coil voltage should be 36 Vdc at pull in and
24 Vdc after approximately one second.
If: Coil voltage is correct.
Then replace pump contactor.
If: Voltage is out of range.
Then proceed to Step 5.
Step 5: With key on and truck powered on, check for
battery volts +BV at TP8. Use TP6 Battery negative as
reference.
If: Battery volts correct.
Then proceed to Step 6.
If: Less than battery volts.
Then check for battery volts +BV at FU5, Key-
switch (KYS) and K1 relay tips. Repair/replace
component as necessary.
Step 6: Check for battery volts +BV at CA405-33 (DC)
or CA409-1 (AC).
If: Battery volts correct.
Then replace ACCESS 2.
If: Less than battery volts.
Then check wiring for open circuit between
CA206-2 on distribution panel and CA405-33
(DC) or CA409-1 (AC).
