Releasing Parking Brake Using
Truck Battery
NOTE
Battery must be present in truck for this procedure.
Key truck OFF, disconnect battery and open the
main desk top cover.
Disconnect connector CA210 (labeled Drive) lo-
cated underneath the main desk top on top of the
counterweight.
Connect Plug PC211 (labeled TOW) to JC 210.
Lower the desk top cover.
Connect battery.
Once the truck is in an area intended for mainte-
nance raise desk top and disconnect JC210 from
PC211 and reconnect JC210 and PC210 to return
truck to normal braking configuration. Close desk
top.
If truck is not returned to normal braking configura-
tion after towing, then the truck should remain
locked out and tagged accordingly.
Releasing Parking Brake Using
External Power Source
Key truck OFF, disconnect battery and open the
main desk top cover.
Disconnect connector CA210 (labeled Drive) lo-
cated underneath the main desk top on top of the
counterweight.
Pull plug JC210 and the harness into the operator
compartment.
Using brake release harness (139956-002), con-
nect an external power source to the female con-
nector. The parking brakes will release.
NOTE
The external power source should only supply the volt-
age that is stated on the wire harness (139956-002).
Once the truck is in an area intended for mainte-
nance disconnect the external power source, raise
desk top and reconnect JC210 and PC210 con-
nectors to normal braking configuration and lower
desk top.
If truck is not returned to normal braking configura-
tion after towing, then the truck should remain
locked out and tagged accordingly.
