ECR4 (Hyd Sensor bearing) Feedback Issue.
Hydraulic motor encoder feedback does not match
ACCESS 2 output.
Step 1: From ACCESS 1, Level 2, proceed to Service
Analyzer menu A2.2.8 and A2.2.9 and monitor ECR4
and RPM Target inputs while operating lift. Range is
800 to 3200 RPM.
• If: Inputs within range.
– Then replace ACCESS 2.
• If: Inputs do not follow changes in motor speed dur-
ing operation.
– Then proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Use DVOM to check from positive (CA420-3)
and negative (CA420-6) at Hydraulic motor. Power
supply should be approximately 11.3 Vdc.
• If: OK.
– Then proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Use DVOM to check from positive (CA405-1)
and negative (CA405-2) at ACCESS 2. Power supply
should be approximately 11.3 Vdc.
• If: OK
– Then repair/replace wiring/connection between
CA405 and CA420.
• If: Less than 11.3 Vdc.
– Then replace ACCESS 2.
Step 4: Check ECR4 wiring for proper continuity from
ACCESS 2 to pump connector CA405-13 (Ch A) to
CA420-5 and CA405-14 (Ch B) to CA420-4. Verify wir-
ing not shorted.
• If: Wiring not OK.
– Then repair/replace wiring or connections.
• If: Wiring checks OK.
– Then replace sensor bearing (ECR4).
