Event Code 102
Left hand brake coil (BRK2) shorted.
Step 1: Disconnect CA435, connect DVOM and check
resistance of brake coil.
• If: Less than 6.0 ohms.
– Then replace BRK2 coil.
• If: Greater than 6.0 ohms.
– Proceed to step 2.
Step 2: Connect DVOM to CA435-1 and CA435-2. En-
ter Level 3, navigate to Analyzer menu A4.1.2 BRK2.
Press enter on the display and record DVOM reading.
• If: Approximately 15 volts.
– Then replace BRK2 coil.
• If: Less than approximately 15 volts.
– Proceed to step 3.
Step 3: Connect DVOM to CA215-16 and CA215-1.
Enter Level 3, navigate to Analyzer menu A4.1.2
BRK2. Press enter on the display and record DVOM
reading.
• If: Approximately 15 volts.
– Then check wiring and connections between 
CA215 and BRK2.
• If: Less than approximately 15 volts.
– Then replace ACCESS 1.
Event Code 103
Right hand brake coil (BRK1) shorted.
Step 1: Disconnect CA436, connect DVOM and check
resistance of brake coil.
• If: Less than 6.0 ohms.
– Then replace BRK1 coil.
• If: Greater than 6.0 ohms.
– Proceed to step 2.
Step 2: Connect DVOM to CA436-A and CA436-B. En-
ter Level 3, navigate to Analyzer menu A4.1.1 BRK1.
Press enter on the display and record DVOM reading.
• If: Approximately 15 volts.
– Then replace BRK1 coil.
• If: Less than approximately 15 volts.
– Proceed to step 3.
Step 3: Connect DVOM to CA215-9 and CA215-2. En-
ter Level 3, navigate to Analyzer menu A4.1.1 BRK1.
Press enter on the display and record DVOM reading.
• If: Approximately 15 volts.
– Then check wiring and connections between 
CA215 and BRK2.
• If: Less than approximately 15 volts.
– Then replace ACCESS 1.
