SVA2B Solenoid Coil Open Circuit.
This code is logged if an open circuit exists between
SVA2B and driver CA230-10.
Step 1: Drive SVA2B through Analyzer menu A4.4.10
in display and measure voltage across SVA2B with wir-
ing connected.
• If: 30 Vdc.
– Then SVA2B is open, replace SVA2B. Coil re-
sistance should be approximately 39 ohms.
• If: 0 V.
– Then a positive or negative is missing, proceed
to Step 2.
Step 2: Drive SVA2B through Analyzer menu A4.4.10
in display and measure voltage from +BV to SVAB2
negative with wiring connected.
• If: 0 V.
– Then negative is missing. Proceed to Step 3.
• If: +BV.
– Then positive is missing. Proceed to Step 4.
Step 3: Drive SVA2B through Analyzer menu A4.4.10
in display and measure voltage between CA230-10 (-)
and +BV with wiring connected.
• If: +BV.
– Then wiring is open from CA230-10 to SVA2B.
• If: 0 Vdc.
– Then open is internal to Access, replace
ACCESS 7.
Step 4: Drive SVA2B through Analyzer menu A4.4.10
in display and Measure voltage between CA230-12 (+)
and BNEG.
• If: 30 Vdc.
– Then wiring is open from CA230-12 and
SVA2B (+).
• If: 0 Vdc.
– Then open is internal to Access, replace
ACCESS 7.
Event Code 748
ACCESS 1 Communication Start Up Issue with
ACCESS 7.
This is a CAN issue that can occur at start-up when
ACCESS 7 goes out and gets hardware/software part
numbers of all Accesses.
Step 1: Check that ACCESS 1 power is +BV and sta-
ble at time of fault. Check CAN wiring integrity.
• If: Prevalent/permanent and only fault.
– Then replace ACCESS 1.
Note: If 748 in combination with 749 or 750 or 751 re-
place ACCESS 7.
