Event Code 722
Event Code 722
CAN Communication between ACCESS 7 and
ACCESS 2 Time Out.
Lost CAN communication between ACCESS 7 and
ACCESS 2.
Step 1: Check for other event codes and troubleshoot
them first.
If: No other event codes.
Then proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Verify ACCESS 2 remains powered at time of
code. Check voltage from CA405-33 (+) and BNEG.
(CA409-1 (+) and BNEG on AC hydraulic models).
If: Not powered.
Then repair power supply wiring.
If: ACCESS 2 remains powered.
Then proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Key OFF truck and check CAN high and low
lines with DVOM for proper resistance at harness. Con-
nect leads to CA405-18 and CA405-19 (DC) or
CA406-3 and CA406-1 (AC), should be approximately
60 ohm.
If: 0 ohm.
Then a short exists between CAN high and
CAN low. Check wiring and repair.
If: Greater than 60 ohm.
Then check wiring for open or bad connection.
If OK, then replace ACCESS 2.
If: 60 ohm.
Then CAN line is correct, replace ACCESS 2 if
code continues.
