Use a wood block or plastic hammer to seat new upper
bearings into frame. Upper bearings must be fully
seated into upper frame for ample lower hook clear-
ance.
3. Remove the upper bearings by prying them care-
fully out of the frame. If any bearing is worn to less
than 2.5 mm (0.098 in) thickness, replace all upper
bearings. Refer to Figure 16966.
4. Remove the lower bearings by wedging them from
the lower hook mounts. If any bearing is worn to
less than 2.5 mm (0.098 in) thickness, replace all
lower bearings. Refer to Figure 16966.
Make sure all items are cleaned thoroughly and free of
any dirt, nicks, or scratches prior to reassembly.
5. For reassembly, reverse the above procedures.
