35. Disconnect reel hydraulics (A). Immediately cap the hoses.

36. Secure the hoses and the electrical connector on the
adapter to position (A) as shown.
37. Ensure the header is on the ground or is supported by the
wheels in transport mode.
DANGER
Never start or move the machine until you are sure all
bystanders have cleared the area.
38. Start the engine, and slowly back the combine away from
header.
39. Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the
ignition.
5.7.2 Attaching Header to Adapter and Combine
The header can be attached to the adapter from either field or transport configuration.
DANGER
To prevent bodily injury or death from the unexpected start-up of the machine, always stop the engine and remove the
key from the ignition before leaving the operators seat for any reason.
NOTE:
Stabilizer/Slow Speed Transport wheels can be used to support the header. For instructions, refer to 3.7.1 Cutting Height,
page 54.
