6.7.4 Removing Auger Drive Chain
The chain tensioner can take up slack for only a single pitch. Replace the chain when the chain has worn or stretched
beyond the limits of the tensioner.
DANGER
To prevent bodily injury or death from the unexpected start-up of the machine, always stop the engine and remove the
key from the ignition before leaving the operator’s seat for any reason.
1. Detach the header from the combine. For instructions, refer to 5 Header Attachment/Detachment, page 289.
2. Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the ignition.
