5. Position the plastic wearplate (if applicable), replacement
guard (B), adjuster bar (D), hold-down (C), and install bolts
and nuts (A). Do NOT tighten.
6. Check and adjust the clearance between the hold-downs
and the knife. For instructions, refer to Checking and
Adjusting Knife Hold-Downs, page 410.
Replacing center guards
NOTE:
The guard at the center of a double-knife header (where the two knives overlap) requires a slightly different replacement
procedure.
7. Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the ignition.
