Editing the calibration parameters 5-11
Peak window (Da)
+/-
Specifies the maximum mass difference between the
reference peaks and the expected position of the
corresponding peaks in the acquired calibration
spectrum.
Note: The normal operating range for this
parameter is 0.3 to 1.5 Da. Increasing the value of
this parameter increases the chance of incorrect
peak matching.
Initial error (Da) Specifies the maximum mass difference between the
first reference peak to be matched and the
corresponding peak in the acquired calibration
spectrum.
Note: The normal operating range for this
parameter is 0.5 to 2.0 Da. Increasing the value of
this parameter increases the chance of incorrect
peak matching.
Intensity threshold Specifies the intensity threshold value. Any peak in
the acquired calibration spectrum with an intensity
less than this value (measured as a percentage of
the most intense peak in the spectrum) is not used
in the calibration procedure.
Note: The normal operating range for this
parameter is 0% to 5%.
Polynomial order This parameter defines the number of coefficients to
be used in the calibration fit equation. The available
options are 1 to 5.
For voltage scans over a small mass range, use 1.
For voltage scans over a large mass range, use 2.
For magnet scans, use 3 to 5.
Intensity weighting Weights the curve toward the points representing
the more intense acquired peaks. The weight of each
point is proportional to the square root of the
intensity of the acquired peak.
Calibrate display Applies the generated calibration to the data in the
Calibration report window Spectrum pane.
