8. Ensure that the repeller plate is not touching any part of the ion block.
9. Using the 1/8-inch wrench, tighten the nut securing the repeller contact
to the repeller, while ensuring that the repeller plate does not come into
contact with the ion block.
To finish fitting the trap
1. Ensure that the trap is not touching any part of the ion block.
2. Using the1/8-inch wrench, tighten the nut securing the trap contact to
the trap, while ensuring that the trap does not come into contact with
the ion block.
To fit the filament
1. Fit the filament terminal blocks to the filament.
2. Fit and tighten the screws securing the filament terminal blocks to the
filament.
3. Fit the filament assembly to the ion block.
Caution: The trap must not touch any part of the ion block, otherwise
the instrument will not function.
