7. Set the compressed air supply to 80 psi.
8. On the gas inlet panel, fully open the Inlet valve.
See “Gas inlet panel” on page 1-16.
Tip: To operate a pressure regulator valve, pull its handle towards you,
then turn it clockwise to increase the air pressure, or counterclockwise
to decrease the air pressure. The regulator is closed when the handle has
been turned fully counterclockwise.
9. On the gas inlet panel, use pressure regulator valves 1, 2, and 3 to raise
the top half of the bench approximately 2 mm above the supports.

10. If applicable, inspect the oil level in the rotary pumps and add oil if
necessary.

11. Power-on the MassLynx PC.
12. When the MassLynx PC has booted, power-on the embedded PC.

13. Start the MassLynx software.
14. Click the MS Tune icon on the Instrument shortcut bar to open the Tune
window.
15. Turn the status switch to the Standby position.
16. Close the source lock and source side lock vent valves.
