D-22 The MassLynx Tune window
Reference File Specifies the reference file name and path. You can
browse to find a file. Known reference masses for the
calibration appear.
Apply present
calibration curve
Select to apply an existing calibration file associated
with the specified experiment. This option validates
of calibration integrity.
Tip: This option is not available if there is no existing
associated calibration file.
The centroid parameters (rates, span) control the experiment calibration
procedure.
Rate (mS) Performs the same function as the Tune window’s
peak display Scan Time control.
Tip: This control is available only when the
calibration is running.
Span (ppm) Increases the mass window range displayed on the
Tune window peak display by scanning the
accelerating voltage over a larger range.
Tip: This control is available only when the
calibration is running.
Skip Skips the current function and moves onto the next. A
function that is skipped is not calibrated. If the final
function is skipped, the calibration ends.
Continue Accepts the calibration for the current function and
moves onto the next.
Tip: This button is available only during an
experiment calibration when you select Centroid.
Centroid Centers the peak in the Tune window peak display.
Start Starts the experiment calibration process with the
first function in the experiment. When the calibration
starts, you can view the calibrated reference peaks in
the tune window peak display.
