Voltage SIR function editor parameters :
Parameter Description
AutoSpec Parameter
File
Type the required parameter file name and path in
the text box, or click Browse.
Use Probe Ramping
Method
When selected, you can specify a probe ramping
method (.prf) file name and path in the text box, or
click Browse.
Mass table Contains a table of the masses to be monitored by
the VSIR function.
Add Opens the SIR Mass dialog box, so you can add a
mass to the mass table.
Change Opens the SIR Mass dialog box, so you can edit the
selected mass table entry.
Tip: Double-clicking on the mass table entry will
also open the SIR Mass dialog box.
Delete Deletes the selected mass table entry.
Clear All Deletes all the entries in the mass table.
Start Time (min) The retention time (in minutes) at which the
function starts.
End Time (min) The retention time (in minutes) at which the
function stops.
Resolution The resolution, used to determine acquisition
parameters.
Cycle magnet to zero
(Current Control)
When selected, this cycles the current applied to the
magnet to zero before the start of the function, in
order to overcome magnet hysteresis effects which
may occur between successive functions.
Tip: Select this option only if you are monitoring
masses in order of decreasing magnitude between
successive functions.
Ionization Mode Specifies the ionization mode and polarity used
during data acquisition.
