3-32 Scanning techniques
Mass table Contains a table of MRM masses to jump between
during the MRM function.
Add Opens the MRM Mass dialog box so you can add an
MRM mass to the mass table.
Change Opens the MRM Mass dialog box so you can edit the
selected mass table entry.
Delete Deletes the selected mass table entry.
Clear All Deletes all the entries in the mass table.
Auto-Delay Calculates the required (theoretically ideal) delay
times for the entire MRM mass table.
Start Time (min) The retention time (in minutes) at which the
function starts.
End Time (min) The retention time (in minutes) at which the
function stops.
Resolution The resolution, used to determine acquisition
parameters.
Ionization Mode Specifies the ionization mode and polarity used
during data acquisition.
FI Set up Opens the FI Set up dialog box so you can specify
that an inter-scan current be applied to an field
ionization (FI) emitter.
Tip: This option is enabled only when FI+ or FI- is
selected as the ionization mode.
Total Cycle Time
(mS)
Displays the total cycle time, in milliseconds.
Cycle magnet to zero
(Current Control)
Cycles the magnet through zero current to avoid
hysteresis effects. At present this function is
redundant, MRM works only in field control.
