Response Message Syntax
Figure 2-1 shows the syntax for response messages.

Response messages may contain both commas and semicolons as separators. When
a single query command returns multiple values, a comma is used to separate each
data item. When multiple queries are sent in the same message, the groups of data
items corresponding to each query are separated by a semicolon.
<newline><^END> is always sent as a response message terminator.
A <response data> can be the following data types:
• NR1 numeric response data
• NR2 numeric response data
• NR3 numeric response data
• Hexadecimal numeric response data
• Octal numeric response data
• Binary numeric response data
• String response data
• Character response data
• Definite length arbitrary block response data
• Indefinite length arbitrary block response data
