15.1.4 Configuring Static IP Addresses for DHCP Clients
The DHCP Static IP table lets you configure up to 100 DHCP clients with static IP
addresses. The static IP address is a "reserved" IP address for a specified DHCP client
defined by MAC address. In other words, instead of assigning the DHCP client with a
different IP address upon each IP address lease renewal request, the DHCP server
assigns the client the same IP address. For DHCP clients that are not listed in the table,
the DHCP server assigns a random IP address from its address pool, as in normal
operation.
The following procedure describes how to configure static IP addresses for DHCP clients
through the Web interface. You can also configure it through ini file (DhcpStaticIP) or CLI
(configure network > dhcp-server static-ip <index>).
To configure static IP addresses for DHCP clients:
1. Open the DHCP Servers table (see 'Configuring the DHCP Server' on page 227).
2. Select the row of the desired DHCP server for which you want to configure static IP
addresses for DHCP clients, and then click the DHCP Static IP link located below the
table; the DHCP Static IP table opens.
3. Click New; the following dialog box appears:

4. Configure a static IP address for a specific DHCP client according to the parameters
described in the table below.
5. Click Apply.
Table 15-5: DHCP Static IP Table Parameter Descriptions
Parameter Description
Index
dhcp static-ip <index>
[DhcpStaticIP_Index]
Defines an index number for the new table row.
Note: Each row must be configured with a unique index.
DHCP Server Index
dhcp-server-number
[DhcpStaticIP_DhcpServerIndex]
Associates the DHCP Static IP table entry with a DHCP server
that you configured in 'Configuring the DHCP Server' on page 227
Note: Currently, only one DHCP server (Index 0) can be
configured and therefore, the parameter is always set at 0.
