Clearing Lines
Use the clear line command to clear any line on the system (vty or console). Using
this command terminates any service, such as an FTP session, on this line and closes
any open files.
clear line
■ Use to remove any services on a line and close any files opened as a result of
services on that line.
■ You can specify the absolute number to clear any line. For each line on the
system, the absolute number is listed in the line number field of the show users
command output.
■ You can specify the line type and the relative number to clear a specific type of
line. For each line on the system, the relative number is listed in the line name
field of the show users command output.

■ There is no no version.

Monitoring the Current Configuration
Use the commands described in this section to monitor the current (running)
configuration of the system.
You can use the show configuration command to display information when the
router is in Automatic Commit mode. In Automatic Commit mode, the system
automatically saves any change to the system configuration to nonvolatile storage
(NVS).
You can use the show running-configuration command to display information when
the router is in Manual Commit mode. In Manual Commit mode, any configuration
change affects only the current (running) system configuration.
