NOTE: If you do not press the software reset button within the time limit, the system
will not erase the password, and you will need to repeat the process.
erase secrets
â– Use to delete all CLI passwords and secrets.
â– After you issue this command, press the software reset button (see Figure 25 on
page 423) within the time you specify for this command.
■Allows you to set the number of seconds (1–60) for this procedure to be
accomplished.
â– Allows you to set a new password when you have forgotten your password.
â– Can be used with the service unattended-password-recoverycommand.
