Partial Discharge Test | Set test conditions
Setting the voltage pattern, test voltages, and application times
The voltage pattern to apply to the EUT is determined by the combination of the following test conditions
(voltage pattern, test voltages, application times).

Voltage Pattern Ramp You can define a test voltage pattern with increasing and decreasing ramps.
Step You can define a test voltage pattern that increase in steps. The number of steps
is calculated automatically from the voltages set to Test Voltage and Step Voltage
.

Set the test voltages to apply to EUT. You cannot specify a voltage that exceeds
the limit voltage (p.113).
Step Voltage When Voltage Pattern is set to Step, set the voltage to apply to EUT in each step.
You cannot specify the test voltage that exceeds the limit voltage (p.113).
Step time When Voltage Pattern is set to Step, set the time per step until Test Voltage is
reached.
Voltage rise time (Rise
Time)
When Voltage Pattern is set to Ramp, set the time from when the START switch is
pressed until Test Voltage is reached.
Test time (Test Time/2nd
Test Time)
Set the length of time that the test voltage is applied. To continue testing until the
STOP switch is pressed without making Pass judgments, set Test Time to off.
Voltage fall time (Fall Time/
2nd Fall Time)
When Voltage Pattern is set to Ramp, set the time for the voltage to fall from the
test voltage.
