Installation
Connection for Partial Discharge Tests
Applicable model:
Connecting the test leads
Connect the supplied high voltage test lead TL31-TOS to this product.
Before starting work, check that the covering of the test leads are not torn and that the wires are not
broken (p.279).

Check that the POWER switch is off and that the DANGER LED is off.

Raise the front-panel LOW terminal’s cable lock, and then connect the low-voltage
test lead (black).

Risk of electric shock. While the DANGER LED is lit, never touch the HIGH
VOLTAGE terminal, test leads, or EUT.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock.
• Parts of the included test leads near the alligator clips
pro
trude from the vinyl insulation when the wires are
connected. These parts are dangerous. Never come
close to these parts while the DANGER LED is lit.
• If connections are incomplete, the entire EUT
may be
charged to a high voltage. This is dangerous, so be
sure to connect the EUT correctly.
• Be sure to connect the low-voltage test lead (black) first.
Never touch these while
the DANGER LED is lit.
