Distinctive Rings

Distinctive Rings are ringing patterns used for distinguishing between different types of call events.
PRASAR UCS supports the following types of call events:
1. Internal Call
2. Trunk Call
3. Auto Call Back Call
4. Auto Redial Call
5. Alarm
6. Emergency
7. Operator Alarm
8. Message Wait
9. Ring Test
10. Priority
11. Emergency Conference
12. Conference
With Distinctive Rings, it is possible to use ring cadence of user's choice for each of these call events. For instance,
Triple ring can be set for 'Priority Internal Calls' and long rings can be set for 'Alarm Calls'.
Distinctive Rings on SIP Extensions
On SIP Extensions, PRASAR UCS supports Distinctive Rings using Alert-INFO field in the INVITE message. To
indicate the different call events, PRASAR UCS sends the Ring Text for the respective Ring Type.
The default Distinctive Ring Types and their corresponding Ring Texts are given below.
