For the given range of extension numbers, the system will assign extension numbers from the software
port number specified in Start S/W Port Number for this particular entry. The range of extension
numbers will be assigned in ascending order of the Software Port Number.
For example:
Extension Type you selected is SIP Extension
Start Software Port Number is 1
Start Extension Number is 2001
End Extension Number is 2100
The system will assign Extension Number 2001 to SIP Extension 1, 2002 to SIP Extension 2 and so on.
The system will assign the last Extension Number 2100 to SIP Extension 100.
If you want to assign access codes starting with # or * to a range of extensions, make sure both Start and
End extension numbers begin with # or *.
• Click Submit.
To check the Extension Numbers (Access Codes) assigned by the system,
• Click the Extension Type, in this case, under Configuration click SIP Extension Settings.
• Similarly you can assign the Access Codes (Flexible Numbers) to Department Group or Virtual Extension.
The other parameters need to be configured manually on the respective pages of the SIP Extension/
Department Group/ Virtual Extensions.
