4. To change the output level of a Group, hold the GROUP button, press the pad 9–16 of the
desired Group (first navigate to its Group bank via the Left/Right Arrow buttons if necessa-
ry), and turn the 4-D encoder while holding GROUP.
5. To change the output level of an individual Sound, hold its pad (or hold SELECT + its pad
if pads are in Keyboard mode) and turn the 4-D encoder. In Keyboard mode you can also
press SELECT + the pad of the desired Sound, then hold any pad (i.e. any pitch of that
Sound) and turn the 4-D encoder.
6. Press CONTROL to leave Main mode and return to the default Control mode.
Press and turn the 4-D encoder to adjust the value in finer increments.
These shortcuts control the LEVEL parameter in the AUDIO page of the Master’s, Group’s, and
Sound’s Output properties, respectively. See section --- MISSING LINK --- and --- MISSING LINK
--- for a detailed description of these properties.
In the software you can also adjust the output level of the Master via the Master Volume slider
in the Header:
The Master Volume slider in the software’s Header.
To reset the output level of the Master to 0 dB, double-click the Master Volume slider.
Groove Shortcuts
1. Press MAIN to enter Main mode (the button must be lit).
2. Press F2 (SWING).
3. To change the groove of the Master (i.e. the overall output level of MASCHINE), simply
turn the 4-D encoder.
4. To change the groove of a Group, hold the GROUP button, press the pad 9–16 of the de-
sired Group (first navigate to its Group bank via the Left/Right Arrow buttons if necessary),
and turn the 4-D encoder while holding GROUP.
