NIVERSAL ANSWER/AUTO ANSWER
Description
Use Program 23-03 : Universal Answer/Auto Answer to assign trunk routes 1-25 (set in Program 14-06)
to extensions for Universal Answer. If the call ringing the paging system is in an extension’s assigned route,
the user can dial the Universal Answer code (843) to pick up the call.
You can also use this program to let an extension user automatically answer trunk calls that ring other ex-
tensions (not their own). When the user lifts the handset, they automatically answer the ringing calls based
on Trunk Group Routing programming (defined in Program 14-06). The extension user’s own ringing calls,
however, always have priority over calls ringing other co-worker’s extensions. Refer to the Line Preference
feature for more information.
You make one entry for each Night Service mode.

Telephone Programming Instructions
To enter data for Program 23-03(Universal Answer/Auto Answer):
1. Enter the programming mode.
2. Enter 23 03
3. Enter the number of the item you want to program.
4. Select the Extension number to be programmed by pressing the FLASH or the VOLUME▲ or
VOLUME▼ keys.
5. Enter data for the item you selected + HOLD.
6. Enter data for the next item in the program.
OR
Press DC once to enter a new item number.
OR
Press DC until you’ve exited that series’ programming section.
