4. Adjusting the Pulser/Receiver (Conventional UT
Mode)
This chapter describes how to adjust the EPOCH 1000 Series pulser/receiver in
conventional ultrasound mode. The topics are as follows:
• Adjusting the System Sensitivity (Gain)
• Using the AUTO-XX% Feature
• Setting Reference Gain and Scanning Gain
• Pulser Adjustments
• Receiver Adjustments
• Custom Filter Sets
4.1 Adjusting the System Sensitivity (Gain)
To adjust the system sensitivity
1. Press [GAIN].
2. Use the [CHECK] key to select either coarse or fine adjustments.
3. Use one of the two adjustment methods below to adjust the gain setting:
a) [UP] and [DOWN] arrow keys
b) Adjustment knob - clockwise and counterclockwise
The total system sensitivity is 110 dB.
