To add temporary scanning gain
1. Press [GAIN].
2. Use the [UP] and [DOWN] arrow keys or the adjustment knob to increase or
decrease scanning gain.
3. Press [ESCAPE] twice to return to the 1/5 > Basic submenu.
4. Choose 1/5 > Basic > Scan dB to toggle between the base (reference) gain and the
adjusted scanning gain.
5. Choose 1/5 > Basic > Off to turn scanning gain off completely.
Figure 11-10 on page 207 shows an ASME DAC setup with 3 dB of scanning gain
added.
