11.2.8.3 Building a TVG with the TVG Table
The TVG table is set up to display all information regarding the variable gain applied
to the echo signal along the screen range of the instrument. Each row of the TVG table
represents a single point along the screen range and the gain associated with that
point. The EPOCH
1000 Series uses these points as a reference and draws a straight
line, representing change in gain across the screen range, to connect each point.
