The best fit feature does not distort the S-scan image. Instead, it rotates the image,
without distortion, to fit in the display window. This rotation means that the
horizontal and vertical S-scan rulers are not correct when best fit is active.
Best fit mode is automatically deactivated when freeze is activated.
14.4 Image and A-Scan Grid and Rulers
The EPOCH 1000 Series phased array mode provides separate rulers for the A-scan
display and S-scan display.
