2.1 Starting the EPOCH 1000 Series
Figure 2-1 on page 40 shows the location of the power key and of the power indicator.

Pressing the [ON/OFF] power key causes an initial beep. The instrument’s startup
screen appears. The instrument then goes through a series of self-tests for 45 to 60
seconds and then starts up. The power indicator and the battery indicator provide
basic feedback regarding the operating/charging status of the instrument (see
Table 6
on page 40).
