3.1.5 About the File Name/Message Bar
The file name/message bar appears at the top-left corner of the main display and
shows the name of the currently opened data file, together with its current identifier
(ID) [see example in
Figure 3-6 on page 55].

The EPOCH 1000 Series text messages also appear in the bar as needed, following
your actions (see example in
Figure 3-7 on page 55).

3.1.6 About Software Indicators
Software indicators appear in a area at the top of the main display screen (see
Figure 3-8 on page 56). Table 8 on page 56 describes the various indicators that appear
or may appear in the area.
Selectable

values.
Turn the adjustment knob or press the arrow keys to
select the value.
Command Immediately executes a command when selected.
Function Opens a dialog box or a screen with more parameters.
