Figure 7-1 A-scan with active reference cursors
Reference cursors allow you to position one or two vertical lines on the A-scan display
as a visual marker. These cursors represent a particular point in the screen range of
the current inspection, and can represent a variety of meaningful benchmarks within
the displayed range. Examples include: weld crown position, weld root position,
bond line/interface of two components or materials, known geometric or other
inclusion(s) that may produce a reflection, etc.
7.2 Activating and Positioning Cursors
The reference cursors cannot be positioned beyond the visible screen range. Also,
Cursor
B can only be positioned over, or on the right of Cursor A.
To activate both cursors
1. Select 2/5 > Ref Cursor > Cursor A =On.
Cursor A (red line) appears on the screen.
