3.4.5 Interacting With a Dialog Box
The EPOCH 1000 Series software presents dialog boxes, for example during
calibration, to allow you to edit the value of a parameter. The following procedure
describes how to interact with a dialog box.
To interact with a dialog box
1. Considering the dialog box example shown in Figure 3-24 on page 86, press
[LEFT] or [RIGHT] to position the cursor over the digit that you need to modify
in the parameter value.

2. Press [UP] or [DOWN] or turn the adjustment knob to modify the digit to the
appropriate value.
3. If needed, repeat steps 1 and 2 to modify other digits.
4. When the value is adjusted, press [LEFT] or [RIGHT] to move the focus to the
desired dialog box button.
5. Press [CHECK] to activate the selected button.
3.5 Managing Data with GageView Pro Interface Program
The EPOCH 1000 Series is fully compatible with Olympus’ standard portable
instrument computer interface program, GageView
Pro. Through the GageView Pro
interface program, you can download inspection data, review measurements on a
computer, export measurements and calibration data to common spreadsheet
programs, back up calibration and inspection data from the instrument, and perform
basic operations such as instrument firmware upgrades and screen captures.
