HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
M6040, M7040, WSM
8-M3
The hydraulic system of the M6040 and M7040 tractor is composed of a 3-point hitch, remote hydraulic control
for implements, power steering, PTO clutch, shuttle clutch, 4WD and hydraulic brakes as shown figure.
This system has the following functions.
1. Raise and lower implements connected to the 3-point hitch with external hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic lift is
subject to position control and draft control (mixed) control.
2. Draw hydraulic power from auxiliary control valve to operate implement hydraulic cylinders.
Implements with double acting cylinders can easily receive, hydraulic power drawn from the quick coupler.
Auxiliary control permits simultaneous operation of implements powered by hydraulic pressure along with
operation of 3-point hitch.
Oil flow from 3-point hitch pump can be connected with oil flow from auxiliary control valve.
Hydraulic oil flow is 61 L/min (16 U.S.gals/min, 13 Imp.gals/min) for the auxiliary control valve and 40 L/min
(11 U.S.gals/min, 8.8 Imp.gals/min) for the 3-point control system. The oil flow maintained by flow priority
valve.
Operating pressure is 19.6 MPa (200 kgf/cm
2
, 2847 psi).
Maximum of three remote valves or 2 valves with a flow control valve.
3. Hydraulic oil flow for power steering, shuttle, PTO and 4WD is 21.3 L/min (5.63 U.S.gals/min, 4.69 Imp.gals/min).
4. Operation of power steering through the steering controller, see page 7-M1.
5. Operation of hydraulic PTO clutch, see page 2-M1.
6. Operation of hydraulic shuttle, see page 3-M6.
7. Operation of auxiliary control valve, refer to "8. HYDRAULIC SYSTEM" section in the workshop manual of tractor
mechanism (Code No. 9Y021-18200).
