Removing the throttle body

1. Disconnect the TPS coupler “a”.
2. Remove the brackets “1”.
3. Remove the throttle body assembly “1”.
Checking the TPS
1. Check the TPS exterior. Replace if
cracked.
2. Check the electrical performance of the
TPS. See “Checking the TPS” (5-15).
Installing the throttle body assembly
1. Install the throttle link joint assembly “1”.
2. Install new gaskets “1”.
3. Install the throttle body assembly “2”, and
then tighten the throttle body assembly
bolts “3” to the specified torque.
4. Install the brackets “1”.
5. Connect the TPS coupler “a”.
