STATUS ADVISORY
MESSAGE
DESCRIPTION ACTION
INSUFFICIENT FUEL
For the flight plan being modified, the FMS
reports that the calculated amount of
remaining fuel at destination is less than the
reserve fuel amount.
Take appropriate action to land with
sufficient fuel reserve.
MAINTENANCE LOG
FULL
Not enough memory is available to save a
file.
Advise maintenance to verify the content
of the Log file and delete some entries.
MLS RECEIVER
ACTIVE
MLS changed Status from STANDBY to
ACTIVE.
Acknowledge the status change.
NO CRUISE – VNAV
LOST
While flight plan in “MOD” state,
The FMS cannot generate a climb profile.
NOTE: The FMS invalidates VNAV
Performance function (no vertical profile, no
fuel and crossing altitudes predictions).
Review the CRZ ALT data entry and enter
a lower cruise altitude or modify the lateral
flight plan to increase the distance
between the departure and destination
airports. Otherwise, do not use the FMS
for VNAV guidance since this is not
possible without a valid vertical profile.
NO STEP CLB NEAR
T/D
After computing the vertical flight plan profile
and the location of a waypoint with an
altitude constraint above the waypoint’s
crossing altitude falls within 50 nm of the
T/D.
Remove the altitude constraint on the
waypoint within 50 nm of the T/D.
NO STEP DES NEAR
T/D
After computing the vertical flight plan profile
and the location of a waypoint with an
altitude constraint below the waypoint’s
crossing altitude falls within 50 nm of the
T/D.
Remove the altitude constraint on the
waypoint within 50 nm of the T/D.
NOT ON INTERCEPT
TRK
When a Direct-To with Intercept-Course is
pending (modified route), current aircraft
track does not intercept desired course to fix.
Verify intercept course entry and the track.
PARALLEL HOLD
ENTRY
Holding pattern entry procedure to be used
at crossing of holding fix.
Acknowledge the holding pattern entry.
PASSWORD
CHANGED
The library password has been successfully
changed.
Configuration can be used.
POS MANUALLY
UPDATED
System confirmation of crew manual position
update while in Inertial navigation mode.

PRED SPEED LIMITED
The FMS identifies a speed constraint (crew
entered or derived from the navigation
database) that is not within the performance
database speed entry limits.
Review the speed/altitude restrictions and
segment or waypoint altitude/speed
constraints and modify accordingly. If no
change is made, then do not use the FMS
for VNAV.
RTA UNACHIEVABLE
While flight plan in “MOD” state,
1. The FMS detects that the RTA time on
the RTA Page cannot be met within a
tolerance of 30 seconds.
2. The aircraft enters a holding pattern
when FMS is operating in RTA mode.
Take appropriate action knowing that RTA
will not be respected or/and review RTA
data entry.
T/C AFTER T/D – NO
CRZ
When the computed vertical profile leads to
no cruise and descent paths and the CRZ
ALTITUDE LOWER message has not been
raised
Verify the lateral and/or vertical flight plan
and correct accordingly.
If no changes are made, the message will
be removed upon levelling off at the cruise
altitude where a cruise and descent profile
will be calculated.
