9.4.2.2 Removing an SFP+ transceiver module
For Fiber Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) configurations, the ethernet server
adapter is equipped with one or two SFP+ (small form-factor pluggable)
transceiver modules.
Required tools
● Preliminary and concluding steps: tool-less
● Removing SFP+ transceiver modules: tool-less

Ê If present, remove the protective optical port plug from the SFP+ transceiver
module.
V CAUTION!
Save the protective port plug for future use.
