Pulsatile Flow Detection Mode
Description
PFD Mode shows pulsation of a flow superimposed on a CFM or
Directional PDI image. Using PFD, you can differentiate
between pulsatile flow in the liver arteries (green) and non-
pulsatile flow in the portal vein at one glance. Flow existence,
flow direction and vasculature information will be available.
NOTE: 3D images cannot be rendered in PFD mode.
Activating/deactivating PFD
To activate/deactivate PFD mode, press PFD on the Control
Panel while scanning in CFM or PDI mode.
While in PFD mode, PFD scale is displayed on the left side.
