Chapter 9 Inverter Functions
9-1-8
9.1.8 Disabling the STOP/RESET Key on the Keypad
 How to prevent the operation from being accidentally stopped from the keypad when the
inverter is operating via external RUN command?
 How to perform a trip reset without stopping the operation currently performing via
communication?
 When the "RUN command input source selection [A002]
*1
" is set to anything other than "Keypad
(RUN-key) (02)", the inverter stop command from the keypad can be disabled by setting
"STOP/RESET-key enable [b087]" to "Disable (01)" or "Enable at only trip reset (02)".
 If you wish to use the keypad STOP/RESET key input signal only to perform a trip reset, set the
"STOP/RESET-key enable [b087]" to "Enable at only trip reset (02)".
 If you wish to be able to issue a stop command from the keypad in the event of an emergency,
set the "STOP/RESET-key enable [b087]" to "Enable (00)".
 The keypad STOP/RESET key can be used to stop the machine even if the RUN command is
given by a source other than the keypad in the normal case.
 When the RUN command is given by the external signal, a stop command from the keypad will
stop operation to ensure safety. To restart operation, the external signal must be turned off and
on again.
Disable:
The keypad STOP/RESET key is disabled when
the "RUN command input source selection
[A002]

" is set to anything other than "Keypad
(RUN-key)".
Enable only for trip reset:
The keypad STOP/RESET key can be used to
reset a trip only after the inverter has tripped.
