Chapter 9 Inverter Functions

9.13.3
Outputting a Signal When the Output Frequency Is Close to the Set Value
How to detect and tell the system that the output frequency to the motor is close to the set
value?
Assigning "Set frequency reached [FA3] (06)"/"Set frequency reached 2 [FA5] (25)" to one of the
output terminal functions ([C021]/[C022]/[C026]) enables the inverter to output command
frequency arrival signals.
Two independent set frequency reached signals [FA3] and [FA5] can be assigned to the output
terminals.
The frequency setting for turning [FA3] on during acceleration and off during deceleration is set
by "Arrival frequency during acceleration [C042]"/"Arrival frequency during deceleration
[C043]", respectively. Similarly, set "Arrival frequency 2 during acceleration [C045]"/"Arrival
frequency 2 during deceleration [C046]" for [FA5].
Arrival frequency
during acceleration
During acceleration, [FA3] turns on when the
output frequency reaches this set value.
Arrival frequency
during deceleration
During deceleration, [FA3] turns on when the
output frequency reaches this set value.
Arrival frequency 2
during acceleration
During acceleration, [FA5] turns on when the
output frequency reaches this set value.
Arrival frequency 2
during deceleration
During deceleration, [FA5] turns on when the
output frequency reaches this set value.
Set frequency reached [FA3]:
This signal turns on/off when the output
frequency reaches the [C042]/[C043] set
values.
Set frequency reached 2 [FA5]:
This signal turns on/off when the output
frequency reaches the [C045]/[C046] set
values.
fon: 1% of the maximum frequency
foff: 2% of the maximum frequency
(Example of operation)
When the maximum frequency is 60 Hz,
and [C042] = [C043] = 50 Hz
- fon = 60 × 0.01 = 0.6 Hz
- foff = 60 × 0.02 = 1.2 Hz
- During acceleration:
On at 50 - 0.6 = 49.4 Hz
- During deceleration:
Off at 50 - 1.2 = 48.8 Hz
