Chapter 9 Inverter Functions
9-2-3
9.2.2 Setting Frequency Command by Keypad
 How to set the frequency command from the keypad during a test run or normal operation?
 How to change the frequency command from an optional remote operator?
 How to change the frequency command while watching the monitor display?
 To set the output frequency command from the keypad according to a parameter setting, set the
"Frequency input source selection [A001]
*1
" to "Parameter setting (02)".
 The output frequency is set according to the "Output frequency setting or monitor [F001]" or the
"Multi-speed 0 [A020]
*1
". (If [F001] is changed, [A020] is also changed to the same value. If "2nd-
motor control [SET]" is turned on, "Multi-speed 0, 2nd-motor [A220]" is changed.)
 To connect the optional remote operator with potentiometer (OPE-SR/OPE-SR mini) and use its
potentiometer [POT] to set the output frequency command, set the "Frequency input source
selection [A001]
*1
" to "External operator POT (00)".
Refer to "7.2.8 Remote Operator Functions" for details regarding operation when a remote
operator is connected.
Output frequency
setting or monitor
This parameter is used when setting the
output frequency from the keypad.
If [F001] is changed, [A020]
*1
will also be
changed.
0.00,
Minimum frequency to
Maximum frequency (Hz)
Frequency input
source selection
The output frequency command is set
using the potentiometer [POT] on the
remote operator (OPE-SR/OPE-SR mini).
The output frequency is set from the
keypad according to a parameter setting.
The output frequency value is set
according to parameters [F001] or
[A020]
*1
.
Used when setting the output frequency
from the keypad.
0.00,
Minimum frequency to
Maximum frequency (Hz)
Frequency reference by keypad [FREF]:
Turns on when the output frequency
command can be set from the
keypad.
 When the "Multi-speed ([CF1] to [CF4])", "Multi-speed Bit ([SF1] to [SF7])", "Jogging [JG]", "Force
operation [F-OP]", or "Force terminal [F-TM]" input terminal functions are on, those frequency
commands are given priority regardless of the "Frequency input source selection [A001]
*1
"
setting. Please note that changing parameter [F001] while any of these functions are on will also
change the frequency command setting parameter of each function.
 When "Frequency input source selection [A001]
*1
" is set to "Parameter setting (02)" and "Enable
frequency changes through monitor display [b163]" is set to "Enable (01)", the frequency
command can be changed using "Output frequency monitor [d001]" or "Output frequency scale
conversion monitor [d007]". For details, refer to "10.1.1 Monitor the Output Frequency".
*1. "2nd-motor control [SET]" target parameter. The second control parameter is also subject to setting.
