Chapter 9 Inverter Functions
9-14-1
9.14 Performing Positioning Operation
(Simple Position Control Function)
9.14.1 Overview of Simple Position Control Function and Basic Settings
 How to perform the position control based on the origin like a servo?
 How to perform the positioning operation by moving to a position at a fixed distance with
conveyors or carrier machines?
 The WJ-C1 is equipped with a simple position control function. It enables the simple positioning
operation by feeding pulse signals from an external encoder, etc. back to the inverter. The main
functions of the simple position control are as follows.
- Multistage position control function (up to 8 target positions can be set, and the target
position is selected by I/O input)
- Turntable function (without rotation limit)
- Positioning restart function
- Homing (Homing function, Current position clear function, Current position preset
function, Current position at power off save function)
- Speed/position control switching function
- Brake control interlock function
 For details on the positioning operation, refer to "Operation procedure for simple position
control function" described in this section.
 The inverter starts with the current position cleared to zero when the power is turned on. In
addition, if the motor rotates while the power is interrupted, the position cannot be counted at
that time, which may cause position misalignment. Therefore, consider homing when power is
turned on, or using the current position at power off save function. For details, refer to "9.14.2
Performing Homing Function during Positioning Operation".
 The simple position control function is available when using the first control mode. This function
does not work when "2nd-motor control [SET]" is turned on. The "Permission of torque control
[ATR]" function is also disabled.
