Chapter 5 Wire Connection
5-3-6
5.3.4 Wiring of DC Link Choke (DCL)
 How can noise be reduced?
 What is the measures against harmonic noise?
 How can power factor be improved?
 When using a DC link choke (DCL), connect it after removing the short-circuit bar between
[PD/+1] and [P/+] terminals.
 The power factor can be improved, and harmonic noises can be reduced by using DC link
choke (DCL).
Cautions for DC link choke connection terminals (PD/+1, P/+)
 If the short-circuit bar between [PD/+1] and [P/+] terminals is removed and
the DC link choke (DCL) is not connected, power is not supplied to the main
circuit part of the inverter and the inverter cannot be operated.
 When the DC link choke (DCL) is not used, do not remove the short-circuit bar
between [PD/+1] and [P/+] terminals.
 The wiring length to DC link choke (DCL) should be within 5 m. Otherwise, it
may not perform efficiently.
 When installing the DC link choke (DCL), please make sure that its heat does
not affect the inverter.
