Chapter 9 Inverter Functions
9-5-7
9.5.4 Driving with Energy-saving Mode
 How to conserve energy when using inverter functions for fans, pumps, and similar applications?
 The automatic energy-saving operation function optimizes the inverter running at a constant
speed to minimize inverter output power consumption. This is suited to fans, pumps, and other
loads with reduced torque characteristics.
 To use this function, set "Eco drive enable [A085]" to "Enable (01)". Adjust the response and
accuracy with "Eco drive response adjustment [A086]".
 This function is available when the "Control mode selection [A044]
*1
" is set to "[V/f] Fixed torque
characteristics (IM) (00)" or "[V/f] Reducing torque characteristics (IM) (01)", and the automatic
torque boost function is disabled.
 As this function controls the motor under relatively slow control, sudden fluctuations in the load,
such as those resulting from an impact, may stall the motor and result in an overcurrent trip.
 The automatic energy-saving feature may not fully function with an analog input frequency
command. If this is the case, set the "Analog input filter time constant [A016]" to 500 ms.
