Basic characteristics of electronic thermal
 The electronic thermal function protects the motor from overheating based on the output
current, output frequency and electronic thermal characteristics. By setting the "Electronic
thermal level [b012]

" according to the motor rated current, protection is applied if a current
exceeding the rated current continues to flow to the motor. If you want to apply protection
earlier, set it lower than the motor rated current.
 The basic characteristics (time-limited characteristics) of the electronic thermal changes with
the setting of "Load type selection [b049]". Each basic characteristics (time-limited
characteristic) is shown in the figure below.
 By setting "Electronic thermal characteristic selection [b013]

", it is possible to set the
characteristics (reduction ratio according to operating frequency) according to the motor to be
used. For details, refer to the following pages.
 If the motor current becomes unstable due to disturbance, etc., the motor may trip earlier than
the specified time.
