Chapter 7: Troubleshooting
Refer to this table if you encounter problems when operating your pick-up header.
Problem Solution Refer to
Symptom: Crop material overshoots the table auger
Draper speed is too high
Reduce the draper speed until the
pick-up header is pushing the swath
slightly forward.

Header height is incorrect
Adjust the header height to 305 mm
(12 in.). Header height is measured
from the center of the rear draper
roller to the ground.

Hold-down rods are improperly
adjusted
Adjust the rod tube so that the tips of
the rods are close enough to the
draper belts to prevent overshoot.

Symptom: The swath forms a ball and rolls to the right or left where it is eventually lost off the end of the pick-up
header
Draper speed is too high
Reduce the draper speed until the
pick-up header is pushing the swath
slightly forward.

fingers are unable to move the swath
rearward
