Private Key Pass-Phrase (Optional): Enter the Private Key Pass-Phrase for encrypting the private key.
The password must
be of minimum 6 characters and can be a maximum of 24 characters.
include atleast one upper-case, one lower-case, one number and one special character.
all ASCII characters (except Percentage %, Hash #, Equal to =, Plus +, And &, Backslash \, Less
than <, Greater than >, Apostrophe ’, Double Quote " and Space) are allowed.
Default: Blank.
Click Generate & Download to generate and download the Certificate Signing Request and the Private
key.
OR
Click Close to close the window.
The downloaded file will be a zip file. Extract the files and send the CSR file only to any trusted
Certificate Authority.
The zip folder download depends upon the browser you are using. Check the Download Settings of
your browser and set the Download path accordingly.
OR
If your browser does not ask you for the location you want to save your file, it saves it in the default
location according to the download path specified for that browser.
If you are using Mozilla Firefox (version 3.5 recommended), before you save the configuration files, set
the Downloads option of your browser as Always ask me where to save files.
The downloaded Private Key should not be sent to the trusted (third-party) Certificate Authority to
prevent it from being mishandled by some malicious user.
Make sure that you do not lose the Private Key or forget the Pass-Phrase; otherwise, you will have to
generate a new CSR and set the Pass-Phrase again.
Upload Certificates
The size of the file to be uploaded should not exceed 5MB.
After you download the CSR, you must get it signed from a Trusted Certificate Authority (CA) and then upload it in
your system.
To upload the CA-Signed Certificate,
Click the Upload Certificates button.
